For this project, my partner and I interviewed the AP World History teacher in Ladue. His class was creating a project in which they would present in place of their final exam. With this project, we learned how to interview using a digital camcorder correctly and also use it for the B-roll. Then, to edit the film we used the Final X Pro application on our computers and learned how to correctly edit. Personally, from previous projects I learned that I like using Final X Pro much better than iMovie. It is a lot easier to make edits to the film and has more options. I had a lot of fun with this project and think I learned a lot about interviewing and editing.
For the headline newscast, I was assigned a partner and we were directed to pick six interesting news stories. Our task was to summarize those stories and tell them in a live broadcast. I thought this project was the most fun because it was super hands-on. In this project, I learned how to properly read a tele-prompter and how to speak loudly and clearly. I believe this project helped me in my daily life because I now realized how to annunciate my words and speak clearly to my peers. Also, every time I watch a news broadcast on TV or any other type of live TV I realize how they had to go through what I did and learn the simple parts which they most likely don't have to think about anymore. Overall I enjoyed this project and learning how to do a live broadcast.
